Like most movements, and like most movements of the Spirit, whatever is happening among the men of Immanuel Nashville’s Men’s Theology group is hard to trace, and difficult to define.
But rest assured; something is happening here. Something profound. The Lord is working and moving among us and in our hearts, and the result is tangible and glorious. We are beginning to read our Bibles.
I mean to really read them. To pray hard, to read like our lives depend on it, and to seek Christ in every word, and with every breath. It’s life-giving, and we want to do all we can to not stifle it, to not snuff out the smoldering wick.
That’s what this blog is birthed out of. A growing passion to seek the Lord in his Word, and to rally together and encourage each other to go “further up, and further in.”
He is like a tree
planted by streams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
and its leaf does not wither.
In all that he does, he prospers.
If you’d like to join with us, physically or in spirit, here’s how:
- Take, and read. Here’s a helpful guide on reading and meditating on Scripture.
- Join us Tuesday night’s at Men’s Theology. 4301 Charlotte Ave, Nashville TN, in the cafe, 7-9pm
- Join us at Smoker’s Abbey afterward. Pipes, beer (like all young reformed dudes), prayer, and theology. It’s casual, but intentional.
